a ranged attack with it against one creature within its range.
The ammunition flies from the weapon at supersonic speeds.
On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack's norma
effects. The damage from this attack cannot be reduced by
any reactions, such as Deflect Missiles or the Interception
fighting style

At 5th level the ranged attack deals an cxtra lds thunder
damage to the target on a hit. This damage roll increases by
1d8 at 11th level (2d8) and again at 1 7th level (3d8)
